Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote form asks for gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. That information is sent to the carriers to return quotes, and nothing is kept by this site. Your name, address and full health details are requested only if you choose to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates shown are what each carrier quotes for the health class you selected. Your final premium is determined by the carrier after underwriting, which may confirm, improve or shift your class. All quotes on this site are estimates for information only and are not a guarantee of price, approval or coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

You select a quote and create an application with it, which continues on the carriers' secure platform prefilled with the answers you gave. You can pause and return later, and you sign electronically when ready. Applications are handled by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the amount and your health. Many carriers now offer rapid underwriting for eligible applicants, deciding without a paramedical exam by reviewing your answers, prescription records and other data. Each quote notes whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that product.

Is a longer term better?

A term should cover the years when losing your income would hurt your family: a mortgage loan, young children at home, a business obligation. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for a longer period. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms from every carrier side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not collect contact information, we do not sell or share visitor data, and our analytics use no cookies or trackers. See the privacy page for the complete list of what this site collects and who has access to it.
